The bantam and the soldier summary

Young Bantam getting picked on by the other Bantams and its war time.
When war came to the village he took the good animals with him and he left the bantams to fend for themselves.
The little bantam slept away from the others.
There was an explosion the bantams got blown up except for the little one he stayed in the bush and he was the only one that survived.
The soldiers headed into the village one was Arthur and he got picked on like the bantams by the other soldiers.
The farmer heard movement in the bushes and it was the bantam.
Arthur freed the bantam and put it in his coat pocket.
The soldiers tease Arthur about having the bantam.
The soldiers started to like the bantam.
They collected bugs for her and she rewarded them with a egg.
Bertha kept hope in the soldiers.
The battle moved past them.
They weren't allowed to take bertha with them.
They took Bertha back to the farmer and said goodbye.
Arthur returned home and was friends with his fellow soldiers.
He said to his niece i want to tell you a story and told her about the bantam called Bertha.

Yesterday after school we went to Dylan's rugby practice. Dylan fell over about ten times. Kirsten was so thirsty she went around the car licking the windows. Then she found a drink bottle when Dylan came in. Dylan was so wet he had to bring a towel.

6/5/2015

Today I ran around the school block twice. I took about two minutes. I was the closest to beating Huntah. Johnny did really well because he beat Sarah by a good ten metres. A new record for him. Now all he has to do is try and beat me to be the junior champion at running.

The Zoo

Once we had driven to Wellington, I chanted "lets go to the Zoo."  The I got told we weren't going to the zoo today, so I waited until the time came and as soon as I saw the first animal, I wanted to stay forever.  There was fast, slow, coloured, striped - every description.  There was a Sunbear, Tiger, Kangaroo, Tasmanian Devil, Wallaby, Antelope, Dingo, Giraffe, Scorpion, Tarantula, Red Panda, Birds, Lizards, there was even a Crane.  I felt like a wild animal in the jungle looking for food to hunt and kill.  Suddenly a Kangaroo jumped onto the path and poked his tongue out and ran away like a rocket.  After that, we found little Mere Cats and a huge 70 centimeter Porcupine.  Then we went to see the Lions, but only the girls would show themselves, then next were the Tigers.  One of them even came to the glass and looked at me for ages until I finally stared him down.  There were so many animals I couldn't think of a favorite.  Next was the Parakeets and other birds that fly.  My favorite bird was the Kiwi and my favorite reptile was the Blue-tongue Lizard.  My favorite carnivore is the Sunbear.  The Mere-Cats were smaller than I thought they would be.  They are so small that when one came up to the glass, I measured it and it was only an inch and a half bigger than my hand and fingers.  In with the Mere-Cats, was a big 1/2 meter black and white male Porcupine.  The Mere-Cats have nearly never noticed the Porcupine.  After that it was all-day every-day goats.  So instead we looked at the Ostrich pen, it seemed empty but we knew it has at least one in there, it was just on the direct other side from us.  The Orangatangs didn't like the weather.  The Pelican was loving it and so were all the other animals.  I was a lot of fun watching the Lemurs chase each other in a circle.  I liked a little monkey that liked me.  He was creamy brown with a light shade of black.  After we looked every where, we found no Zebra which was disappointing because Zebras are one of my favorite animals in the world.  There were some weird animals there, like these big giant rat/guinea pig looking things running around trying to hide from us.  I never forgot what I thought the Tiger was thinking - I thought he was thinking 'come on let me out of my den, I'm cold and hungry and ready to knock this door down and tear it to shreds.'  The Cheetah was keeping his distance and growling.  I didn't find an Elephant anywhere. so the biggest animal was the Giraffe.
If I could be an animal, I would be a Spring-box so I can explore the Serengeti Desert, because the Serengeti looks exciting and blooming, bursting with life, also prancing everywhere and very hard to catch would be good because then I wouldn't have to worry about them much.  When I found the Iguana, I had lots of fun finding all of the other ones because most of them were hiding under a tree or under a bush or under a rock away from the wind.
The last time I went to a zoo, I found an Elephant, Zebra even an Alligator, but that was Auckland Zoo.  Also the Baboons bottoms were pink, just like their chubby, short nose faces.  The Baboons liked to chase each other around.  When I saw the oldest Baboon, it made a scared face and ran into one of the houses.  There were young Tasmanian Devils that ran to hide but I got their picture in time, the fierce ones growled and acted like they were hunting us and one of them slid over a punga log to his house.  We watched them for nearly half an hour.  When I found the Goose, it was under a bush taking shade and also hiding.  There was so much noise everybody scared the poor goose. There were so many Wallabies I could hardly bare it.  At the Giraffe enclosure, it was so high I could see the Kangaroos lying in the sun until a little boy came and scared them out of their skins.  Then the Giraffe came round and scared me out of my skin.  It was a great day!

Trail Bike Ride

At the trail bike ride at  the apiti domain 9.a.m Johnny, David, Fisher and I played hunting zombie dinosaurs because we brought fake guns and also there wasn't much else to do if you weren't riding a motorbike. it was alot of fun because I could scan areas for zombie dinosaurs with my silent machine gun. I also set up cameras to check for the big giant zombie dinosaur. Then all of a sudden motorbikes poured through the gates and all the motor bikes left me frozen on the spot. After that I was so bored I could have died until I was aloud to push bike the junior track. I found a little jump and got enough speed to get about ten inches into the air. the intermediate and senior tracks went over nearly all of the local farms and favorite views. When it came to a finish I was soooooooooo bored I wanted to run home. So insted I biked the junior track until my legs got tired so I went and rested them and then had dinner with the people that were left. Then I thought time to get some sleep and onto the next day of chaos.
