100 word challenge week 3 term 2

Johnny and I are catching freshwater crayfish and we caught a very strange looking one  then it spoke and said you have one wish so Johnny and I decided to wish for candy land and it actually happened. Then we looked at the city of candy and then when we tried to eat the candy we couldn’t. Dam these toothless mouths. Then a voice boomed you can eat the candy when you have completed the impossible task of defeating the sour gang. We accept your challenge crayfish of candyland. So we defeated the sour gang and ate all of candyland

Whanaunatanga in action

Ring ring ring Dylan picked up the phone and on the other end was Johnny he wanted me to come to his house but we were coming back from town so when we got home I rode down to Johnny’s house. When I got there we went down to the creek and found a good spot for freshwater crayfish and caught some good ones. Then we went downstream and there was no water and we knew that there was loads of crayfish in the area so we started to flip rocks and rescue lots of freshwater crayfish and then something caught my eye. It was shiny at the back but black at the front so we didn’t know what it was until I reached into a hole in the side of the creek and pulled it out it was a muscle. Then I dropped it into the bucket full of water and freshwater crayfish because a crayfish pinched me. Some of the crayfish are gnarly and if the biggest one pinched you it would really hurt. So we didn’t put our hands in the bucket because we didn’t want sore hands. So we took the bucket of water and freshwater crayfish back up to the house and put them in a big plastic box and we put a long concrete cylinder in the box and all the crayfish big and small ran and swam into and under the cylinder. The last crayfish to get there was so tiny that it couldn’t even get into the cylinder so we called it itsibitsi then we pulled out the muscle try and investigate. Then out came max and he walked over to the box and he pulled one of the crayfish out of the box and he got scared so he put it back in and the crayfish went straight in and out of the cylinder then it was time for me to go home and have dinner.

Kaitieke camping trip

As we got closer our urge to go swimming on the hot day became greater. Once we got there we set up our huge tent and every thing else we needed and then we went and cooled off in the river. I tried running on water and I succeeded. Then our cousins and family arrived. We then cooked up dinner and ate like kings and queens.Then we went to bed ready for a big day tomorrow. In the morning we lit the fire, cooked toast and had breakfast. We went down to the river and paddled around in kayaks.Soon after we decided that we could take two of the three kayaks half way up the rapids and float down and we succeded. Meenwhile on rock island I decided that it didn’t have enough big rock so I took the biggest kayak and I went over to a bank of rocks and got two of the biggest rock I could carry but there were still more because if I put too many in or else I would have sunk it. We decided that to get on rock island you had to give the island a rock and you could use one of The kayaks for two small rocks.We went up to the campsite. by then it was lunchtime. We had chicken and a bun with lettuce and other stuff. After that Mum Michelle and Rodney when to pick some blueberries.  We went over to a creek that was started by a waterfall that was started by the river from further up stream. The waterfall was pretty big it was a pool of water below it and the water in the pool float out to the creek and to the river. There were crayfish in the creek and I nearly caught one. The crayfish pretty small
